Lift Spring assist for snowblower

Can anybody tell me or give me pics where the lift assist spring hooks to the frame of my C-160. Also my flag does not have the lift assist bracket on it. Can you tell which side it needs to be welded to or does it matter which side I mount it on. Thanks, Scott

One end of the spring hooks over the 3/4" round bar that goes right through the frame of the tractor. The other end hooks to an eyebolt that goes through the bracket you are missing from your flag.
