Jesse James 0 #1 Posted December 16, 2009 Picked this up this morning. Guy said it was a grader blade for a Wheel Horse so went to go get it and it looks like a good homemade piece. It has a 42" Pacal blade which is pretty heavy. He said that it bolts through the frame in the front and had a cable that went up to the lift arm. Wanted to know if anybody had any idea what this thing is. Is it home made or is it some aftermarket piece. Cause I know this is no Wheel Horse piece!! Cody 277 #3 Posted December 16, 2009 I agree with Rick, I have never seen a wheel horse blade like that but it looks very well built. Nice find :notworthy:

Nick 13 #5 Posted December 16, 2009 Perry might now for sure but I think those were AC mid grader blades. http://www.simpletractors.com/attachments/...rader_blade.htm
Jesse James 0 #6 Posted December 16, 2009 Yep your right it is a AC piece!!! Looked on Ebay and found one, item number 200413693042. Thanks a lot guys!! Now comes the decision should I resell it??? Tried to upload the pic but it was a little too big!!
Nick 13 #7 Posted December 16, 2009 I dont watch the AC stuff, what do they sell for? If its not going to bring enough to buy a Wheel Horse blade I would rebuild it to work on a horse. They are heavy blades and should make a nice grader or you.
Jesse James 0 #8 Posted December 16, 2009 The one on eBay has a buy it now of $325. I figure I could get 2 to 2 and a half for it should be enough to get a WH 50"
Cody 277 #9 Posted December 16, 2009 I have seen wheel horse blades go for as much as $400-$550 for a 50", tho not a cheap investment they work very well.
pond195520032003 27 #10 Posted December 17, 2009 Definitly an allis chalmers/simplicity mid mount grader blade had one just like it :notworthy:
Kelly 1,033 #11 Posted December 17, 2009 Yes it's a A/C or sim grader, they bring about the same money as a WH grader does, a 50" WH grader will set you back about $300+ but cheaper ones are out there, I just picked up a NOS WH 50" grader for $200 but I got lucky, my 2 cents I wouldn't cut it up, try to sell it, you would hate to see a WH grader cut up.
