Will these fit my charger 12?

Its really really difficult to find tri ribs in the UK!

Will these fit my 1968 charger, which has 5.5 tyres on it at the moment?

I know it will be a stretch but will they look any good? Has anyone tried it?

Simon, your charger should have 16X6.50-8 tires on the front. The only place I know that carries a tri rib in that size is here:

They do work very well in loose soil. Here is what they look like mounted up on the factory rim.

Thanks for your input gwgdog66, the trouble is, the time I ship them to the UK, they get really expensive.

I was looking for a cheaper solution to the problem.

At this rate I may start importing them to the UK!!?

the old chargers had the narrow tires, on narrow rims, yes those will fit just fine. I'll post a picture of my tractor with a set on it on rims like yours

these are mounted on rims the same size as yours, the tires are 4.00x8

gwgdog66 are those your tires you posted pic's of??? those look like the narrow rims, those tires would fit better on the 6" wide rim.

Yes Kelly, they are. These are NOS Factory Front rims PN 9652 for a 1975 C-160. I lucked out and matched up the paint to that color on the rear rims. The manual called for 16X6.50x8's. That is the same size I went back with. Had I known a different size tire would have worked I'd probably went that route, but I'm happy with how the perform :notworthy:
