Load Ranger Video

Recommended Posts

Nick

Nothing better to do tonight so I made a new version of the Load Ranger video. This might be a little better quality than the youtube version. But the youtube version is near 7,700 views now.

Joel, I never have a cameraman to help out. Most of the time I stick the camera on a dirt pile or rock or something. You would think i'd just take the tripod.

Stephen, Yea the Nephew has to get his turn on the loader tractor. Keeps him happy for a while.

The old D4 Cat was around 50hp and 10,000 pounds so it could move a little more than the 8hp LR. But the cat took a ride to the scrap yard.

But probably brough a good penny.

Ian are the gears turning in your head?

Watching the video give you any project/novel wright up ideas?

Jason,

I should have listed this video as the extended directors cut with a couple short clips I hadnt used in the original. Mostly I was trying to make this video less grainy than the original was. If it warms up maybe the next video will be after the rebuild and if I can make it fit a 3pt hitch.

Stephen,

We had tried the D4 on ebay without gettinga bid plus paying listing fees. Later a track tightner broke throwing a track off, got the track back on after an hour, so we took it to the scrap yard for cash. Scrap price was only $50 less than ebays starting price.

That video, along with the entire concept of a FEL on a Lawn Ranger, still amazes me. Nice piece of work there Nick.

Jason,

Nothing that grand for the Ranger rebuild. Its been working hard for a couple years so it might be best to pull everything down while working on the 3pt hitch idea. The engine could get a freshen-up along plus a new drive belt and a few other touch ups. Might come up with a few other upgrades if I get ambitious. Maybe most of all have to get those new decals put on. Hate to put it all off but its going to wait for warmer weather.

Eldon,

Yep nothing like a loader. Only thing better is a dedicated loader tractor so it is mounted and ready to go at all times.
