zieg72 209 #1 Posted December 14, 2009 Does anyone know the bolt pattern of the rear of our tractors? Trying to look at options other than the 12 inch rims. I know Ford has 4.5 inch on 5 and Chrysler had 4.25 inch. Early Econoline vans had 13". I think as long as I can stay with 23 inch tall tires it wouldn't matter what inch rims I got. Just thinking....
TT-(Moderator) 1,147 #2 Posted December 14, 2009 The "standard" 5 lug garden tractor bolt circle is 4.5", Carl. :notworthy:
kajamo240 3 #3 Posted December 14, 2009 A horse with car wheels would be pretty sweet. Even sweeter with spinners! Kinda kidding... kinda not... hmmm.... :notworthy:
clintonnut 126 #4 Posted December 14, 2009 chrysler bolt patterns on 50's-70's cars is either 5x4(standard A body), 5x4.5(B-body, E-body, modified A body aka Big Bolt pattern) or 5x5(imperial, new yorker). There was not a chrysler 5 on 4.25 pattern. Charlie
zieg72 209 #5 Posted December 14, 2009 I see pitted chrome reverse on CL all the time which would come close to the offset on my 520H. If I stumble on a low profile snow tread 23-23.5 inches tall from a car I have some more options.
Kelly 1,031 #6 Posted December 14, 2009 Carl, you can probably go up to a 25" tall tire, I have quad tires on one of mine and they are 25x11x12's they fit, just but I have them on 7.5 rims, they would be better suited on 8.5" rims and not be so tall
