i was thinking of making a shelf for some round hoods (since they are smallest) like Rick's. if i do, i will be looking for some sort of scissor jack to do the lifting. i see they have lifts for lifting semi truck tires (put a platform across the arms) and those lift carts that go to about 30" and they are pretty cheap. would probably need something close to a 4' lift tho...might have to make my own.

here is the sort of lift i had in mind...

should be easy enough to modify something like those w/ a bigger flat bed table. none lift particularly high tho, so have to keep looking, or just find a bigger scissor jack and make one.

yea, those are just examples of what i was looking at. i'm only looking to lift round hoods, so i don't need that much lift capacity, height is more of an issue for me. a cart rated at 1000 lbs would be way more than i need.

a separate 48" scissor jack would do for a custom fabrication.

I was looking at that building full of tractors and thinking to myself that the insurance payment to protect all those horses is more then most house payments. :notworthy:

Hello Rick, You have a very nice collection of Wheel Horses!! :banghead: Looks like you have most of the big ones gathered up and I have most of the little ones! :) One member said, both of us should get together and have a tractor show, he said we'd have to go to a Walmart parking lot just to fit them all in!! :WRS: No doubt!

I've seen some of your NOS parts on ebay lately, I'd like one of them NOS steering wheel center caps you have. Prices went too high though. How many do you have left? :notworthy: Thanks and what a great collection you have! :banghead: I am glad there are other collectors who leave their machines in original condition like I do....KJ

Keith, you are right, between the two of us,we are close to 100 tractors and could have a great show, I like you prefer my tractors left in original condition because they are that way only once! although I have restored many years back and have owned over 500 tractors in the last 33 years :WRS: pm me and I will get you a cap, :notworthy: ,Rick
