Does anyone know if the PTO and Engine Drive pulley and components for a 1 1/8" shaft the same as 1" PTO shaft unit? The only thing being different is the shaft diameter. :notworthy: I was looking at Toro's parts viewer for my C-175 and they show the outer pto housing rod as a C-175 only unit (part #106694) and most of the other ones as a (part #106779). What would the difference be?

the drive pulley on a 1in will not fit on a 1 1/8 shaft. I think the pto's are same the only difference is the thickness of the bushing that bolts to the drive pulley same outside dia.,(smaller inside dia. for the 1in shaft.) there are two different size clutches.

What would the difference be?

First off, you're going to have to find one of the rarest (or most expensive) WH engine pulleys which is 5.250" O.D. with a 1" bore and used on only a few hydro tractors. (109541 is a known good number for a pulley but it appears to supersede to 106813 - but I don't know what pulley that one is. )

As for the rest of the PTO stuff.......

Starting with an IPL:

The inner race (#40) is obviously different because of the crankshaft size. (as you already have figured out :notworthy: ) It's relatively easy to find the smaller inner race since they were used on B-80, C-81, C-85, WorkHorse GT's, and a few other models. Since the O.D. is the same regardless of the I.D., everything from there out on your 175 will work.

I call part #48 the "bail" and there are several variations of these, depending on the original application. The most notable difference is the length of the straight top and bottom sections and the placement of the holes where #30 & #32 attach. The general size & shape of the curved section seems to be the same on all of the bails I have seen.

The top bracket (#25) also has been produced in several styles depending on application.

We've already corresponded a few times about my Vanguard twin/C-85 "project" and if I get a chance to mess with it some more I might be able to specify what parts work/fit best.

:notworthy: Thank you to everyone for their input, it is greatly appreciated. I have never dealt or messed with any part of the PTO before, this has helped, sorry for all the questions.
