211-5 Issues

Recommended Posts

pmarq2008

Hi Everyone. I am new to the Wheel horse Community. I got my Hands on a 211-5 this summer for free and that came with a mower deck. It was in great running condition. Also Being up in the northern part of vermont I am getting ready for the White stuff. I just bought a new place and need a way to move that stuff. So I went on the Search this summer and found a Single stage thrower for $100. The Thrower fit perfectly except that my tractor didnt have a lift bar so we had to fabricate one.

Attached are some Pics, One of the blower and Lift bar and another of the front wheels.

I have notice that the Left one as your looking at it is not straight with the other one. I was wondering if any one had any ideas.

I also Have a Brake issue. I found how to tighten them but they are very touchy. Its seems like that are fully on or not.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Phil

Your spindle is the piece that mounts to the front axle and then continues down to the hub of your front wheel. If that seems to be straight I would check your tie rod..........it is the long round skinny bar that attaches to the spindle and runs to the underside of your tractor. This is actually the bar that turns the front tires.

Hope this makes sense.............

Hey Phil and welcome to Redsquare. Good lookin tractor and blower. Here in my part of Tx I do not need a snow blower. But my 417A did have a front wheel that was wopperjawed somewhat like yours. First I had to figure out which was off, the left or right side. By the way, I think everyone refers to the left or right side of the tractor as you sit in the seat. When I tried to turn a sharp circle on concrete the tractor would slide off to one side. I ended up getting a new spindle and new tie rod. Now it turns much better. Well good luck and have a goodun......
