Picked up another Clinton

Scored another Clinton today. I don't really need it at all but just couldn't pass it up so it looks like Charlie will be getting another parts list.

Threw in some pics of a 1945 Briggs ZZ motor that was picked up yesterday. I guess I'm a small engine collector now. This thing is a 6hp but it's about the size of a 10hp Kohler. Fires up on first pull and runs pretty smooth.

Those old iron Briggs "big blocks" are cool, John.

The connecting rods are almost as long as leg bone in a giraffe.

Very nice "capture"! :notworthy:

John, where did you locate that Clinton? I look everyday everywhere and never find Clintons, specially a 1290 :notworthy:

About 20 min north of Hartford

I went to a guys house to pick up a snow cab (Crapsman but it will work for now) and he had some motors for sale. The rest were Briggs, verts and a an ugly Tecumseh. His father used to run an old small engine repair shop. I asked him about any NOS parts for Clintons and Kohlers. All of the stuff was packed away in the back of a garage but he is going to check it out and give me a call. It was an old dusty place filled with mostly crap but I hoping there's some good stuff in the back. I saw racks of stuff back there but couldn't tell what it was. Problem was that he knew what the motor was worth and the same for the parts. I also scored a 12v starter for my H55, I think.
