baerpath 517 #1 Posted November 29, 2009 Got another D 250 today. This one is a little different still has the Gutbrod front axle under it, has 4 bolt hubs with 10 inch rims Anyone else with 250's run across one with Gutbrod parts still on it ? I've found white hoods and white steering colums (replacements parts were not repainted red) and German stickers on some before, and a pure Gutbrod 2600 Duane
clintonnut 126 #2 Posted November 29, 2009 Nice find Duane! Have fun finding correct rear rims. My D-250 has a replacement steering column. It is white. Could you post pictures?? Did you find a Gutbrod 2600 in the US?!?! Charlie

gregg.d250 0 #4 Posted November 29, 2009 Duane- The upper segment of the steering column on my 1977 D250 is white. I never understood why. It only has 406 hours on it. I guess the upper column was replaced at some point over the last 30-something years.
baerpath 517 #5 Posted November 29, 2009 I should have waited till morning to post the front rims are 12 inch not ten. I figure the correct rear rim is going to be hard in the US Got lookers over the boarders looking also. I'd love to find the rears so I can hang a set of midmount cultivators on. I know where there's a set You know how it is find something and no camera Might have his number still Have to look Duane
baerpath 517 #6 Posted November 29, 2009 It ain't pretty but I have enough spare parts to put it back together Engine turns over Was a runner when parked after the rear busted
clintonnut 126 #7 Posted November 29, 2009 Nice tractor. Those are car wheels. The 10" gutbrod 3 ribs had no hubs, the HD Gutbrod front axle had hubs and 8" rims. Just wondering.. How much did you pay for it. Charlie
baerpath 517 #8 Posted November 30, 2009 Busted Figured you would catch it after pictures Charlie. Actually a 2800D Gutbrod used a six lug front hub/rim I'm not sure what these spindles are but they are near match for a spare set of regular ones. As far as price cheap enough to make money on if I part it or keep the engine for another 76 in the barn. Duane
