rickv1957 74 #2 Posted November 26, 2009 Any kohler setup 8 to 16hp will work although you might have to do some wiring which is not a big deal,Rick

wheel horse 1045 2 #4 Posted November 27, 2009 if he went bigger than the 8 he would have to fab the drive belt gaurd and a few other things besides the wires
Rollerman 290 #5 Posted November 27, 2009 if he went bigger than the 8 he would have to fab the drive belt gaurd and a few other things besides the wires Actually the B 60 uses many of the same parts as the heavier C series. The B 60's engine sits on an engine plate setting it up high enough that a common belt guard could be used. Putting a small block kohler (8HP or less) or big block (10HP & greater in singles) is pretty much a bolt on if you have a Wheel Horse spec engine. The B 60 also had a pull start only engine & you would need to rewire it to accomadate electric start if you go that way. The B 60ies are kinda an odd ball & you don't see to many. sorekiwi 761 #6 Posted November 27, 2009 if he went bigger than the 8 he would have to fab the drive belt gaurd and a few other things besides the wires I just dropped a 16 onto a B-80, and used the B-80 belt guard, PTO brackets etc. I think the only bits I had to change were the longer throttle cable, and the exhaust off the donor C-160. So probably wiring and a battery box will be all you need...

Sparky-(Admin) 23,138 #8 Posted November 28, 2009 Thanks for all the reply's!! Can somebody point in the right direction for an engine? Thanks. Post a wanted ad in our classified section with what your looking for and your location. Location is real important since although motors are shippable its very expensive. Good luck! Mike...........
