clintonnut 126 #1 Posted November 26, 2009 Just finished this engine 10 minutes ago! Rebuilt engine contains new crank, new piston, oversize valves, new air filter, etc, etc, etc. Will run it tomorrow. Also here is a B1290 I rebuilt for Wallfish back in the spring:
Duff 206 #2 Posted November 26, 2009 Man, the talent around this place is scary good! Nice work to both you guys! Hey, Charlie - if I freight you out a Kohler M12-S, are you game? Duff
clintonnut 126 #3 Posted November 26, 2009 I could but I don't have an attic full of NOS Kohler parts like I do Clintons. Send it to Brian Miller! Charlie
Duff 206 #4 Posted November 26, 2009 I figured that was the case, but I wanted to show you the respect of giving you a shot at it if I could even afford to ship it out! You do some really nice work! Have a GREAT Thanksgiving! Duff
wallfish 15,770 #5 Posted November 26, 2009 The motor Charlie built for me is real nice. It still has less than 2 hours run time on it. I really like Vins' polished recoil and think I might steal his look. The 2nd 1290 I have has the F-M starter so it may get a polish to see how it turns out. Charlie--did you get the 492 running? clintonnut 126 #6 Posted November 26, 2009 Hi John, I cleaned up the 492 and it looks good. I have all of the parts I need for it and just need to finish it. Charlie
