Crow Horse 8 #1 Posted November 22, 2009 I've been cutting firewood all around my property which is pretty "hilly" and sometimes requires traveling miles to bring a load back home. Being that there are times when I'm traveling up or down, the fuel cap leaks on my B-80. I'm assuming that it originates from the tiny hole in the top of it. I'm sick of smelling gas fumes. Has anyone come up with a good method of remote venting the cap/tank? I've fabbed up remote vents for the axles on my Suzuki, but I was wondering if anyone has come up with a better way.... Rideawaysenior 25 #2 Posted November 22, 2009 Just the style of your gas cap I believe. The newer ones have a rubber bladder on them creating a one way valve only.
64s 83 #3 Posted November 22, 2009 The only good solution I've found is to only fill the tank 3/4 full. Youn can take some good hills without leaking. :notworthy:
Sarge 3,465 #4 Posted November 23, 2009 Hunt around for someone that collects motorcycles, some of those will fit the WH tanks and have the vent line built in.... Sarge
