Lane Ranger 11,394 #1 Posted November 16, 2009 Kelley's photos beat me to the punch this am. I am ready for the onslaught this am also. Put the snow blade and chains on the B-80 after removing the mower deck and performing the annual maintenance items on the deck. Also have the Lawn Ranger snow thrower (6-3211 I bought from Steve "Rollerman" Jones a couple of weeks ago) ready for action! 1975 B-80 ready to go: 1967 L-157 Lawn Ranger and STR-324 snow thrower:

Rollerman 290 #3 Posted November 16, 2009 Good to see it on your Lawn Ranger Lane. Looks good & hope you have fun with it. I'll be putting mine back on my Lawn Ranger soon. One thing I'll recommend if you haven't already done so is to build a simple weight bracket for the rear hitch. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=7113&hl= Even with chains & a driver on a Lawn Ranger there isn't a lot of weight on back when the blower is up. pfrederi 18,638 #4 Posted November 16, 2009 Nice units. I found my L-107 is better a plowing than she is a snowblowing. She really can't go slow enough to avoid choking on the blower, especially on the first pass when you are taking a full bite. She runs better cold than any of the Kohlers so she plows a spot outside the shop that that her bigger brothers can sit in while they warm up :notworthy:

stevasaurus 23,274 #7 Posted November 16, 2009 Nice set up Lane...does that ranger handle the blower OK...I know it is the blower for that horse...just wondering how it works. Kelly out did himself, but I know you will get snow. Hey...post a vidio when you get to use it. Enjoyed your movies.
Rollerman 290 #8 Posted November 16, 2009 Steve that blower I sold Lane actually came from Elgin, IL. Came with an ebay Lawn Ranger I picked up there a few winters back.
stevasaurus 23,274 #9 Posted November 16, 2009 Stephen...can I say "Holy Cow"...they seem to be around me, but I have never seen them. The first horses I ever saw, that were not my dad"s, was at the show in Charlott last August. Worked construction for the phone company for 35 years in north eastern Ill. Guess I should have paid more attention to my surroundings, I guess I need to get out more. I was ready to move to Indiana.
Lane Ranger 11,394 #10 Posted November 17, 2009 Thanks for all the nice comments! I still need to get those chains on right on that Lawn Ranger! I think I picked up the wrong box of chains. I will make sure to have a video made of the snowthrower working this winter. I have a long concrete driveway. It will be worth the entertainment valuse if nothing else. Always have the B-80 for back up but I am looking forward to a foot of snow!
