getting ready for snow

Recommended Posts

Kelly

I picked up this 520 a few weeks ago, with a blower (not the one on it) and a 48" deck it runs like a top, over all nice tractor, I added the wide rear tires and chains, it came with the weights 55lbs each, I put the front weights and chains on it, never tried front chains but I hear they are nice, swaped my blower on it, all I need is my cab mounted, change the oil, fix the seat, and I think this unit is ready for the white stuff, even if I'm not. I paid $500 for it with a beat up blower and the deck, 4 link chains the rear wheel weights, and all four hub caps, it has 500 some hours on it, I think I did ok, that was the most, by far I ever paid for a single tractor

Looks like it'll be a snow-removing beast Kelly. You'll have to let us know how the front chains work out for ya. I know my 416 with a blower does'nt steer to well.

I'd say you did really well on it. 500 hours is young and that tractor will last a long long time with good care from you.

Nice score Kelly and a very, very good price on it. I don't think you will be disappointed one bit during snow removal this winter!

Congrats on the great find! :notworthy:

Hey Kelly...I am not going to be like the above guys. Yes it is a very nice horse

and you got it for a good price.

Bottom line...because you are that ready...that horse will sit all winter, because you will not get any snow. You will have to trailer it to this side of the lake by me

to use it. I will have the spiced apple cider ready. Give me a call...

You got a great deal on that one Kelly.

I get spooked by Onans, but wouldn't of passed on that one.

Onans spool up a little faster too & really make those single stage blowers sing. :notworthy:

Lane Ranger

:notworthy: Kelly: I would almost trade you my Lawn Ranger for that $500 Wheel Horse you bought but I would probably regret it later -so I won't make an offer!

You got one mighty snow fighting machine there and you need that in Michigan more than I do!

Kelly

no that's a nice tractor, and a good getup all around.

I do have one question:

Why the wide wheels? Are you hoping to do less damage?

I hope you get a nice big blizzard for Christmas!

 :notworthy:

Well I put the wide wheels on because I had them, and the ones on it went flat in about a week, and I think they look COOL
