fireman 1,022 #1 Posted November 15, 2009 Picked up this 1967 857 along with a dump trailer.A friend who just recently became a member here found it for me in Jersey (Thanks gregg.d250). It is all original except the head light. Also came with the deck which is complete and in great condition. Even has the original ignition switch and key. I tried to fire it up but wasn't getting any spark. The wiring needs a little work. Tomorrow I will gut all of it and replace it with new wire, drain the fuel and clean out the carb. Hopefully she will fire up. This one is for the kids to pull with in the spring.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,138 #2 Posted November 15, 2009 Looks nice and straight Jeff. Should clean up real nice. Apperantly the last owner liked the hood ornament enough to re-install it a few inches back after puttin on the cyclops light. Mike.........

whfan74 2,071 #7 Posted November 15, 2009 It's always great to have friends looking out for your best interests! That is one nice setup you were able to get there. The kids are going to love that thing! Nice, solid looking cart! :notworthy:
linen beige 15 #8 Posted November 15, 2009 Apperantly the last owner liked the hood ornament enough to re-install it a few inches back after puttin on the cyclops light. Just to clarify for members who may not know. The light on this one is not a Wheel Horse HL-6 "cyclops" light. Straight, solid machine. The cart looks to be in great shape too. gregg.d250 0 #11 Posted November 15, 2009 Jeff- I'm thrilled you're happy with it! I'm eager to see it come back to life! To the forum folks, this was a find near my parents' house in NJ - an older fellow had it in his barn for many years. He is a Lawn/Garden Tractor collector, but needed space for a Bolens/A-Chalmers collection he had recently started to build up. He and my dad use the same barber in town and got talking about his collection a short time ago. Funny how some finders' networks materialize when people don't have Internet or a cell phone... It was very tempting to keep this one for myself as I build my collection, but Jeff's a super guy and I wasn't going back on my word!! Best wishes with it and I'm looking forward to seeing your sons pulling- Gregg in VA
