Wheel Horse C-120 as a Snow Pusher

Hi. I'm new to the board and have a real nice original condition 1976 Wheel Horse C-120 8 speed. I used the C-120 for lawn cutting duty this past summer and it performed great. I'm just wondering how this tractor will push snow as compared to my 1973 Gravely 814 with an Onan Twin ccka 16.5hp. Thanks.

I dont have any Gravely experiance but it seems that having the motor in the back would make it a good snow-pusher....right? The Wheel Horses are great snow-pushers but need weights and usually chains for the best results.

Of course if your going for the coolest look plow with the Horse.

with weights and good 2 link chains these machines are very impressive and go with the roller chain on the front wheels,it really helps.

Hi the horses plow good if you put some weight on them. I use a B-100 with wheel weights and a 120 lb block of lead under the seat, i have chains in the front and rear. I use it to plow my 1/4 mi dirt drive way

thanks john aka wallfish,thats the thread that i learned about roller chain,i live in a snow belt,and last year was like an old winter,i had to use the walkbehind blower first and finish with the plow,the roller works great.

:notworthy: Don't know much about the Gravelys but my 1979 C-121 8 speed with chains and wheel weights is virtually unstoppable when it comes to plowing snow.
