Gerry w 2 #1 Posted November 11, 2009 Not nearly as impressive as Duke's but should handle anything I see this winter in Northern Vermont is my Auto20 with the snow blower I got from Pat this summer. Picked it up in PA. at the Steam-o-Rama and just put it on the Auto today. This thing is a BEAST! Threw out my back just hooking it up! Haven't hooked up the chute controls cause Duke has inspired me to try to hook this one up somewhat like he has, and of course the heated cup holder is needed! (see what you started Darren!) Pic of the front, Another of the side/front. And one of the back with the extra weights, check out the lights, it should work! Thanks for looking!

Gerry w 2 #5 Posted November 11, 2009 Looking real good, Gerry! So.....you read the old Farmers Almanac, too, eh? Duff OMG! The wasp's nests are 15ft from the ground! Know what THAT means! Yup, I read it and believe it! When I designed the house I made it a three car garage, and deep, So I have a work bench running 2/3rds along that wall and one in the 3rd bay as well. Had to build more shelves in there cause I kept buying attachments off Micah! TJ, I've got 7 cords of wood ready, that's a pile for the wife if she wants to start a fire. dgoyette 12 #6 Posted November 12, 2009 Gerry I would apologize for contributing your addiction, except I think it is terrific!!!! I am liking the D threads. Loving all the pics and the work you are doing. Looks great. Boy that blower you got is in great shape. Are we going to get some action shots once the snow flies?
Gerry w 2 #7 Posted November 12, 2009 Thanks Darren, I'm hoping to get Kathy to maybe do a video, she does great on those but action pics anyways! Pat found, and then repaired and refinished the blower for me at his place. Somewhere I have before and after shots. He does amazing work!
MaineDad 87 #8 Posted November 12, 2009 That's a nice setup. I'm sure Kathy believes you when you blame me :notworthy:

Ya got a better start than I did when I first started on mine, Nice lookin Rig!
Gerry w 2 #10 Posted November 12, 2009 Yes Micah, at least all these attachments can be connected to you! And it was YOUR garden posts that really got me going! SO YES!! It IS your fault! Duke, my chute is cable rotated, not gear driven, any ideas on a motor to pull/push that cable. To have the motor located in about the same location as yours would be great. I've got an actuator coming that I'm copying yours on the height adjustment. I've got a motor to use, but just don't know how to hook it to the cable. Thanks for all the ideas from your project. Wish I had your talent and skill! :notworthy:

Gerry w 2 #13 Posted November 14, 2009 Liking those stacks!! Couldn't afford to buy "new" stacks from TSC or anywhere else, but I like the look of the originals when used this way! And they have the closed ends too! Thanks for the replies folks! It's cold out so old man winter is happening anytime! :notworthy:
rickv1957 74 #14 Posted November 14, 2009 Gerry, you will throw lots of snow with big 18 auto, looking good,Rick :notworthy:
Gerry w 2 #15 Posted November 21, 2009 Seem to have hit a "snag" in the blower area, my manual that I have for this is the model#6-7451, and it lists the belt #as 200170 which cross references to a 53 1/2 inch belt, which, when placed on the tractor is way too big. So I "string" measured the belt length and it comes out to 46 to 47 inches. I'm going to town to pick up one from my Bond Auto dealer for right now as snow is in the forecast, however, does anyone have any idea of what's going on with this? Rick, I was going to see if in that haul of yours you had belts for this rig but right now I'm scratching my head wondering what's up. The auto belt will work short time, I'd really like to have a Toro belt on this for winter. Thanks for the input.
rickv1957 74 #16 Posted November 21, 2009 Gerry,I can check on that belt,Rick

Gerry w 2 #19 Posted November 22, 2009 Thought I'd throw in some pics of the hook up, the manuals on these things leave a lot to be desired so if you ever wondered I hope this helps a little. I also put in a shot of the extra light switch box, some time soon this thing will have electric motors turning the chute right now it just powers the extra lights. That's what the extra wire is waiting for. I think I need a hula bobble girl on it, what do you folks think? One shot shows the PTO area, I need to make a cover for it. Another is the lift assist spring, and yet another shows the front transfer case hook up to the tractor. That thing is heavy so have a friend with you to help! Thanks for looking,
Gerry w 2 #20 Posted November 27, 2009 Made a PTO cover and installed it, with the speed of these things I really wanted one on. And then, after seeing Dukes' Snow blower, I was wondering what else it needed, something Duke HASN'T got...(Like there IS anything.. ) and then it hit me!!! So the 2nd shot is of the needed item. Can't wait to blow snow and watch the sway!! Six inches are predicted for tomorrow. Duke, HOW could you forget such a necessary item???
Suburban 550 28 #21 Posted November 27, 2009 Awesome machine, Gerry. That should move some snow for ya.
