Looking a Gift Horse in the Mouth

Not too long ago, I was given a 244-H. Now I love Wheel Horse tractors, but the FREE ones hold a special place in my heart! It didn't take much (and no money) to get it running like new. Unfortunately, the mower deck is beyond repair. As this is a lawn tractor, a mower deck is really the only attachment for this tractor that is usable to me. I can't seem to locate a deck for it at a reasonable price anywhere...I guess that's one of the pitfalls of a lawn tractor. I suppose this 244-H is destined to be a "wagon yanker". That's not all bad but a shame none the less as this horse is a long way from dead and it seems like it should be serving a higher purpose. Any leads would be a great help to keep this horse working.

Sorry but I don't have a deck for you. I wish that wasn't the case. It sounds like you were able to get a good little tractor and for that price you can't beat it. Try posting something in the classifieds if you haven't already and see what you can drum up.
