C-Series14

Tells you in the manual, maybe someone has got one. Front mounts to the floorboards, rear bracket mounts to the fender. There is a short "U" shape piece that goes across where the rectifier is, uses the teo upper bolts and it secures the front of the cab to the hoodstand...

This is all from memory on a 1978-1984 C-Series, your's will be slightly different...

The "U" shaped piece looks like this one on my 416. I remove the cab at the end of the winter season but this piece can stay on all the time. It is bolted to the dash and helps support the 2 front legs which go down to the running boards.

 Truckin inside the cab there should be a tag that tells you what model the cab is. Run it on Toro's Master Parts viewer to see what tractor it was made for then look at homeowners and navigate to the manual section and you may be able to download the manual for your cab. What is your model # and What model is your tractor you are trying to put it on? I have just been through all this myself! :notworthy:

Yes I had to drill the Floor Boards And Rear Fenders, That is A Small price to pay for staying warm!

And on that Snow Cab of mine that I directed you to in the Link, it is a 97-04CB01 SNOW CAB which is a 1979 vintage and made exclusively for a C series tractor the 5XI wasn't even thought of back then! :notworthy: I have had this Cab Since June.

The other one I just picked up in the post "PICKED UP A SNOW CAB ALMOST NEW" Is for a 5XI and will require some modification to go on a 400 series tractor which in this case a Modified 417A.

Again what is the Model of yer snow cab?

I got it from this guy on Flee Bay. You can buy a cheap motorized light or you can buy a good one. I have had all kinds and an electronic strobe with no moving parts is what you want. I see strobes go into the hundred and this one only pulls max about 2 amps and is a high rated class 2 and almost in the class 1 strobe category. This strobe I have had on on a bright sun shiny day and can defiantly be seem even in those conditions! DUKE APPROVED! :notworthy: And well worth the money IMHO! You can't put a price on safety. When your in the heat of battle at the end of your driveway in the street one thing for sure you want to be seen and this will do it!

A couple of things to consider when shopping for strobe beacons.

Some flash rates cause a "stopped motion" effect in falling snow. This makes it virtually impossible to see where the ground is. It's just like someone suddenly put a white sheet over the windshield. That may not be too troublesome on a slow plow tractor, but was a bit scary in a cruiser at highway speed! Some people also cannot actually see strobe lights at certain flash rates. When my PD converted to strobe lights in '91 we had an increase in the number of intersection crashes involving cruisers and more drivers who didn't quickly respond to officer's efforts to stop them.

The solution is a light that has a variable flash rate, or more than one flash pattern that can be set to automatically alternate.

Jim I Guess The Morrow of the story is I wont be plowing any Road Way Intersections, or chasing any Bad Guys or Criminals around my neighborhood on my Tractor! :WRS: However If I see any criminals passing by I may spin my chute around and burry um full "O" Snow! :notworthy: From 60' away!
