Dont know if the threads are too rusted or what . I cant seem to get a 3/8" nut on threads. I dont want to force and make worst. Does anyone know what thread they are for sure? So I can clean up or recut.

Mine looks like a course thread. I was hoping someone could unscrew theirs easily & try a 3/8" course thread nut. Hoping it would screw right on . If it does then I know I need to work on mine to make a 3/8" nut fit. Via file or tap or what ever. Before messing up knob.

The shifter on my 1983 C-85 is a 3/8ths course thread. I didnt check the hi/low shifter. I know its not the right vintage but I dont have any 1967 tractors.

My 856 is 3/8-16 thread. This is a three speed unidrive trans. like the 1057.

Sorry that I took too long. I have a 1057 and removed the knob.

As you already know, it is 3/8"
