Yet Another Haul Yesterday 312H

Recommended Posts

Confused99

Looking through craigslist I found a 312 Hydro. Picked it up yesterday afternoon. Runs great. Front wheel bearings are gone (litterally missing the inside bearing on both sides) and needs a few other minor things besides the normal fluid changes. Also came with a 42" SD deck, cart with 1 bad tire, spike areator, cultivator, chains, and WH wheel weights.

I should also add that I could not get ahold of my wife when I found it so I just pulled the trigger and picked it up :scratchead: . My head is healing up today :hide:

Thanks guys. Yes, I sold the D200 late summer to a guy looking to restore it. It went to a good home. I do miss the best though :scratchead:

The model is 3112KE01-11495 and the serial number is 0032 (I believe that is how to read it) I can't seem to get it to pull up on the Toro site. Any help?

Nice score!

Better to ask forgiveness, than to ask permission!

And if she'd answered her cell phone, then you would've asked her, right?

It gets habit forming doesn't it? Like I tell my wife when she says "you don't need that" it isn't a matter of "need".

I haven't told her yet I'm picking one up this weekend, road trip to IND.

Thanks for the comments guys. I did some work on her this morning. I picked up some wheel bearings ($12 each x4 ouch) and hydro filter from the dealer. Along with that some oil for the hydro and engine. Got all that work done plus greasing everything. I have leaves to pick up today too so I put my homemade multching kit deck on and hitched up the sweeper and went to work. It ran great. I still need to do a few things to her but otherwise everything went well. I did notice the hydro was very warm (can't hold my finger on the trans) so I checked the fan it all the blades are MIA so I will pick one of those up this week too. I also think some new tires are going to be in order before next mowing season. You can tell this thing didn't get much maintenance from any of the previous owners. The hydro was atleast 2 quarts low and the grease zirks were all dry as a bone. I also neet to adjust the hydro lever as it doesn't stay put.

Sorry for the rambling, I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Great haul! Would love to have a 312 Hydro myself.

I am sure that Horse feels real good now with some grease and new fluids. :scratchead:

When looking at the missing fan blades I noticed the belt had seen better days. I looked it up and it lists 3 different belts. Can someone help me with which one it is?

Thanks in advance,

Jason
