zuiko_e1 0 #1 Posted October 29, 2009 I know this is kind of a stupid question. My tires now are 23 x 9.5-12, which are getting bad, I found some almost new ones for a cheap price that are 23 x 8.5-12 on rims. Will these work, or do I need the 23 x9.5's Thanks
bitten 134 #2 Posted October 29, 2009 As long as the back spacing on the wheels are the same they will work. Just a skinner tire.
Duff 206 #3 Posted October 29, 2009 Not a stupid question at all. The only stupid questions are those we are too afraid or proud to ask and then we get hurt or break something because we didn't ask someone! Duff :scratchead:

zuiko_e1 0 #5 Posted October 29, 2009 Thanks for the info, I just didnt want to ruin something. I am hearing that the skinneier tires are also better for snowblowing/powing; better traction, so I thing I will get the 8.5's they are Turf Kings alomost new for $60 mounted for both of them. Thanks for your input!!
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #6 Posted October 29, 2009 The 23x9.50's are a little hard to find sometimes. My 416 has 23x9.50 Turf-Trac RS tires which are no longer made. There are other turf tires still in production that come in the 9.50 size. The difference being the width of the tires. My 414 has 8.50's on it, same rim and I can interchange the tires between the machines.
