First Wheel Horse

She's all back together, Started her up today after a new plug, fuel lines and a lot of reading about 'no spark' problems. Anyway, got it started, put it in gear and it pulled the front wheels off the ground. Took one lap of the yard and turned it off. There's a major oil leak behind the generator plate, so I'll have to pull it apart and see what the problem is....

Have you ever taken something apart and when you reassembled it there were more pieces left over? Yeah, learned a lesson there....

Pictures show the old seat, which I will certainly replace...

Well, I thought I was almost done, but the engine is proving me wrong. I got it started a couple of times but its refusing to do it again. I see a bad leak under one part of the head and carb bowl so I guess I'm going to rebuild the whole thing. The valves need to be lapped anyway [according to my father-in-law] as it shuts down once it gets hot. I wish I had done it when it was off the tractor but I was in a hurry. Never a good thing when working on something you want to rely on. I've looked at some of the gasket/rebuild kits on ebay, that seems to be my best bet, unless you guys know better. In that case I'm wide open to suggestions.

Thanks, I couldn't have gotten this far without all the info you guys post....
