Doubletrouble 10 #1 Posted October 26, 2009 A buddy has a craftsman engine he is thinking of parting with but i need to know exactly what it is first. The numbers are as follows: 143 680012 ser 7350E Would this motor be a good candidate to repower my '71 work horse 800? Or would I be better off passing on this one or maybe just rebuild the original 8hp tecumseh? I would like to have some more power to possibly someday run a larger mower deck, but not sure if I want to depart from original equip. just looking for opinions here. Thanks to all that reply. Lane Ranger 11,244 #2 Posted October 26, 2009 Bill: You can go to sears.com and place the engine number online in their parts search and you should be able to find the diagram for all the parts. etc.

Doubletrouble 10 #8 Posted October 27, 2009 14hp was my original thought but I wanted to call on some of the experiance here to be sure. Would this be a decent engine to repower my tractor with? It is an OHV motor, will that cause clearence problems with the hood? Any other thoughts on possibly putting this engine in or should I pass and hold out for a Kohler?
