Need Triangle piece @ end of lift for snowblower

Recommended Posts

nekovt

Hello! I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I just picked up an older snow blower that fits the 300 series Wheel Horse Tractors. It seems to be complete except the small triangle piece at the end of the lift pole - Does anyone know where I might be able to get one? Thanks! Brad in Vermont

The "Flag" is an item that seems to always get lost and a lot of people need it, with the very-simple factory original as a pattern, it seems like a 'Welder' could easily make a few of these to sell, to have available.

If somebody can get me good photos and measurements, I can probably turn a few out..

TT: That's it, the original flag that's so hard to find. The Spring is a standard hardware item, but if you buy them 10 in-a-bag at Fastenal, price drops considerabily.

Anyone know where or what kind of business has this thick wall pipe. I can't find it anywhere.

This one

The lift tube is 1 1/4" O.D. X 3/4" I.D. by 42" long. (raw)

The plate at the end of the tube is 3/8" X 2" strap steel, 6 1/2" long. (bent per photo at 3" from the end opposite the hole)

The tube overlaps the plate by 2 3/4" and is welded on both sides.

The centerline of the hole in the plate is roughly 44 3/4" from the end of the tube.

I bought some tubing from them when I built the hoe. That tubing isn't cheap!

Here is a drawing that I made of the flag for my 520h.

If anyone needs a better view or another dimension let me know.

They are screen shots of my computer, that is why they are a little blurry.

I'll try and weld a couple up this weekend too.

No 3/4" rod anywhere in the shed. I thought I had some. :scratchead: These might have to wait until I cut a steering shaft.

this might be a bit late in the conversation but where is the "eye" bolt for the spring assist?? i know it wasn't on there till later years but uhm i surely wouldn't make them without!! i tried using a blower last winter without the assist spring and i went and bought it from my WH dealer $24 but now i at least have the correct size, if anyone wants pics of the spring assist i can have them tomorrow, but i would feel horrible that someone spent that much time making one and finding if your over 50, you really need the spring!!!

Mine does not have the spring assist.

If someone could give me the size and location I will add it to my drawing.
