HorseFixer 2,013 #1 Posted October 18, 2009 Well I Made a Road Trip to today up to Kelly's Aunts place in Battle Creek a 85 mile run N/E of Niles, I was in search for a Tall Chute Snow Blower that alluded me this last summer. I recently Have SOLD quite a bit of Stuff on Craig list that I had little or no money in, so this haul was pretty much a freebie. Kelly's uncle had passed away this last summer and his Aunt (Nice Lady I might add) needed to get rid of alot of Items and in turn prolly could have used the extra cash so it worked out good for all involved. I picked up a Toro 06-44SC01 44" 2 STAGE Snow Thrower and a 417A with a Blown Engine will mount the Snow Thrower on a C-120 and run it this Winter. I will look for a Magnum 18 or 20 and try and get it ready for next year. At that time I will most likely us the 417A with the snow blower and put a plow on the C120. Here are some pics will post some more when I get it mounted on the C-120.

HorseFixer 2,013 #6 Posted October 18, 2009 Nice haul. But wont that big 2 stage be a bit much on a C-120? Nick, Ya know that's what I thought at first sight when Kelly sent the pictures to me! I thought that a C-120 would be grossly underpowered. Then I ran a Model # Check on Toro's MPV Site and found that this model Blower to be made from 1990 to 1992. I then checked the Ole' Attachments and Interchangeability File for 1991 machines and found that this blower is good for tractors between 10HP and 20Hp now granted a 18 or 20Hp Machine would Geter done better but if they say a 10HP will do it, then I will take them for their word. But as I have mentioned thats why I got the 417 a 18 or 20 magnum is in its future! The C-120 has a strong engine and I think it can Pony Up to the task for 1 Year! HorseFixer 2,013 #17 Posted October 18, 2009 So Duke. Ya got room on the tractor shelves for a big one like that or will it be left outside . Your "Stable" must be getting cramped by now. Mike........ Mike Now that's some funny chit! Okay here it is mounted on the front of the C-120 The Blower cleaned up pretty nice needs to be touched up and I will prolly get some Valspar and do a quicky on it. The Tractor could use a touch up to in some spots. Maybe next year I can do a better job on it but for now I have too much to do to get ready for winter. I still have to get the chain Back on the blower Kellys Unc purchased a new chain tensioner so need to get that put back together. I have my Snow Cab all cleaned up and I painted the top of cab with White Valspar brushed it on and it turned out pretty nice! I will mount some Overhead Lights on tob and an Amber Strobe. I am going to paint the Framework inside the Cab Metal Tubes and Brackets Black and may get that mounted and panels put on by next next weekend. I have to put on the 75lb each side lead Wheel Weights and Oh and I still want to motorize the chute left right and up and down. Yep still have bunches to do! Well anyways how does she look? WHC-125 4 #18 Posted October 18, 2009 Duke, looks really good on there! The spot where you should paint is on the inside of the chute but otherwise its in great shape :scratchead:
Duff 206 #19 Posted October 18, 2009 Man, Dukester, that's one big-azz piece of gear hangin' off yer tractor! If anyone could even figure out how to hang it a box store tractor, the front end would collapse! Looks like a great set-up, and should really chuck some snow! Duff ! Kelly 1,033 #20 Posted October 18, 2009 Was a short visit, but my Aunt thanks you again. I sold almost $5000 worth of stuff for her this weekend, and Duke had a hand in that. I thank you for the parts 1055 with HY3 kit that was in on trade to me, in the deal for the blower/ tractor package. I still think a 12hp is kinda light for that monster blower. Glad it's in good hands.
