sgtsampay 117 #1 Posted October 18, 2009 Hi all. Here is my first tractor. Its a 1986 Wheel Horse 211-5 with a 11HP Briggs and a 5 Speed Stick. (Yes you have to use a cluch and make sure you don't pop it or it will rev down, like my motorcycle. On the other side is the brake.) I got it from an older guy down the road who is moving next month and wanted it gone. It took great care of it and it has no rust on it, that I can see. It needs a new paint job, as the older one is kinda fading and cracking. Also, I want to put a new E-3 spark plug in it and change the oil in the transmission and the engine. I did have to ajust the carb a little for the idle to work and the engine to stop backfiring, as it was set kinda rich. Once i got it the best i could, I cut my yard with it. It ran great, was fun and I love it. I then checked the compression and got 65ish pounds. This is great, since all of the Briggs I have tested have a compression release on them, so 60+ is great. Lower, then you will have issue. The seat has no cracks in it and the tires look nice. I will also grease the chassis to make sure it all set. The deck is a great deck and has new blades on it but I would love to get some gators on it next year. Right now though, it works fine. The best part in my opoin, is that the steering is very tight and i love it! Ok, now let he pictures roll in! I hope you all like it. BTW, I got this thing with all of the paper work on it and the attachments. The total cost was 400 but i feel that worth it, since the thing is in nice shape and has only 386hours on it. O, BTW it has idiot lights! It will tell you is something is wrong or one. *6 is the ponly year that Wheel Horse made the 211 series with these lights.
