Wheel Bearing for Rj Part Numbers?

Recommended Posts

stevebo

I was finally able to get my front spindles driven out of my 55 rj front wheels after soaking them for 4 days with PB. Does anyone know of a part number and or source for replaciing the inner and outer wheel bearings for the 55 Rj ?? thanks-

The bearings I picked up for other wheels (not RJ) are Stens #215-046 which is the replacement for Toro #110513. 3/4" ID and I believe 1 1/8" OD. They are not the bronze bushings.

John,

Do they have the flange on them? I think they are sealed on one end but I need to check.

Or you can get them at tractor supply, right there in the nut-bolt aisle.

I use JD sealed wheel bearings on my resto tractors, that way I don't have to grease them, no messy grease to clean off the wheels, they are machined steel bearings not the stamped ones, cost more, about $10 each, but worth it to me, they are very nice and smooth to boot. I can get you the part no. if interested, I checked the price of them at Detriot ball they wanted a buck more each and had to order them, I bought them at the JD store.

I wouldn't use the cheapo bearings at TSC, they didn't last more than a month on the C-160 between mowing and garden work this year.

Thanks guys but i already bought the $6.00 specials made by stens on line. If I put 1/4 mile on this tractor over the next 5 years that will be a lot.

I found the wheel bearings at motion industries (used to be called berry bearing) I also purchased the bushings for the rear axle, and the bearings for the cross shaft and the seal for the gear case all from same place
