bork 0 #1 Posted October 16, 2009 :hide: Are chains size specific? or is there a range they will fit? I think I have stock 23x7?x12. If I get chains for this size & eventually get 23x10.5x12, do I have to get a new set of chains? Any such thing as universal that will a few sizes? Any such thing as "bad chains" to stay away from? Due to breakage, fitment, performance etc.. Sorry for all the Qs but I'm new to this & being from S Fl., I didn't get the experiance/pleasure of the white stuff. Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted October 16, 2009 A good chain will be a two link set up, meaning the cross chains are spaced every two links, or cheaper are four link, if your not using them on cement or blacktop a chain with cleats will give you a better bite, used chains are a good deal if not worn out, new good two links will run $100+ nice used two links about half, but get them soon, used one prices will go up after the first good snow. send me a PM I have a bunch of used chains.
