8ntruck 9,356 #1 Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM Was towing the lawn sweeper around the yard today with my 14-8 when it reved like crazy and took off. Upon opening the hood and looking at the throttle linkage, I found that the linkage between the throttle shaft on the carb had come disconnected at the governor arm. A bit of electric fence wire held things together to get the tractor back to the shed. What kind of fastener is used on the 90 degree bend to keep it in the governor arm? Mine appears to be threaded, but images of replacement linkages show that the short end of the 90 degree end is grooved for a C clip. No big hurry here, as I won't get a chance to work on the tractor until next week. I'm thinking a nut and Loktite or drilling a hole for a cotter pin are the easiest fixes. 702854boy 1,165 #2 Posted yesterday at 03:25 AM On our k301 and the one parts k321 we have it a small E-clip on the ends of the arm thingy. If i recall correctly its either 1/8 or 3/16 inch, I'm leaning more towards the 3/16 though
Racinbob 13,224 #3 Posted 5 hours ago I have seen four different types. The little external retaining ring, a ball joint fastened to the carb lever, a 90° bend held in place with a special clip and the simple Z bend. Can you post a picture of what you have?
