stevebo-(Moderator) 8,527 #28 Posted November 3, 2009 Well today I was able to actually ride this little machine for the first time. The motor is very strong and after a little tinkering with the carb adjustment it purs nicely. I have the original tank and hitch off a 56/57 that will be going on and after that I need to get the hood straight and painted. Once that is finished the last thing is to get a throttle cable (anyone have one?) Here is the pic of the little rj after it's first rider...
bell 11 #29 Posted November 4, 2009 NICE! What do you think of the drivability? A little different, isn't it.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,527 #30 Posted November 4, 2009 Jon, It is much slower than what I expected and compared to my 58RJ. Overall it was good. The one major issue I see in it is when you are in forward it will tend to stop then when the clog gear catches it will launch a little. The other issue is that the front end is too light and tends to push when turning. Overall I really like it but I agree with the others who say it is a crude machine... I really do like the this tractor.. I can't wait to get the hood done and painted.
