WH B-80, mower deck, snow blade and black Lab

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

I drove down last Wednesday to purchase a B-80 from a PO in a rural area in southern Illinois. The tranny is in pieces in a box, but the rest of the tractor looks pretty good. I just happen to have a spare tranny that I can use. :ychain: The 8 HP Kohler hasn't been started in a few years, but it has been stored inside. I'm optimistic that she'll fire right up once I purchase a new battery and pour some fresh gas in her.

Although I already have two dogs, with winter approaching, the sellers were looking for a good home for their four year old black lab. So my wife loaded her up in the back of our suburban along with the Wheelhorse implements, and we brought her home. We like dogs and she is a beauty! :hide:

My question is;

Will the 1989 48" Snow Blade # 0648BC01, # 248165 work on my 1998 520xi?

According to "MyWheelhorse.com" the blade will work on, among other tractors, a 520-H and 520-HC but not the 520xi. I am hoping that it can be used as is, or slightly modified to use on the 520xi tractor. :scratchead:

Your thoughts and comments will be greatly appreciated.

:ychain:

Dave

Dave, I don't have an answer for you on the snow blade question, but God bless you for giving a great dog a good home....or a good dog a great home! :ychain: There are a ton of animals out there looking for loving humans.

Sorry to go :scratchead: , but I've got a real soft spot for dogs!

Hey Duff,

Thanks for the kind words. I've got a real soft spot for dogs too. They make me :scratchead:

Anyway, once I finish cutting grass and chopping leaves with the 520xi, I'll remove the deck and try fitting the snow blade to the tractor. It's a really nice blade. I hope it works.

I'll let you know.

Dave
