1939 Ford 9N Aluminum Sheet Metal

When Ford brought out the 9N in 1939, the stamping dies for the hood wasn't available yet. So, the first 600 to 700 9Ns had a cast aluminum hood, but they were painted gray in the factory. The rarity of the aluminum hoods, were were prone to crack, current owners have polished the aluminum to a bright shine and leave them unpainted.
