Prater 76 #1 Posted October 14, 2009 Sorry Guys, I have been very busy this year. No time to work on my projects but my dad picked up this tiller for $75 then blasted and painted it. Just curious if there is a schematic on it since it does not have the regular lift like my tiller does. Any help about this would be greatly appreciated. Also dad welded this for the front of his GT1100. Works great...
Docwheelhorse 2,740 #2 Posted October 14, 2009 OOOh OOOH OOOH!!!! I the Darth Vader all Black Look---how about a full pic of that GT1100. As a matter of fact I also had a GT1100 that I painted completly gloss black including the rims!! Tony
kpinnc 14,587 #3 Posted October 14, 2009 Stephen, the small piece of flat bar on the right side of the tiller (as if looking at your pic) between the casing and the lift assist spring has a 3/8 hole in the end of it. That's the "older" style lift for that series tiller. You can add the newer lift "plate" to the tiller cover like on a newer tiller. It would definitely be easier to raise with a manual lift that way. Just drill 4 holes and go! With your dad's fab abilities, you can prolly copy your tiller's if you can't find one. That's what I did with mine. Good luck! Kevin

Prater 76 #6 Posted October 17, 2009 Can someone measure the chain? We need to know how long it is supposed to be.
KyBlue 655 #7 Posted October 17, 2009 I just used a length... Adjusted it to have goo lift, and the right amount of depth... Just leave it long, and go by the trial - error method...

Prater 76 #9 Posted October 25, 2009 I am back home now. We have the belt from TORO but the mid mount idler pulley that was made for me by a member here does not work. If you try to put tension on the belt the idler and pulley cause the belt to pinch on itself. Can someone take a few measurements for us so we can make the necessary mods? We need to know the diameter of the pulley and idler and the centerline length between the two. Thanks Steven

Prater 76 #17 Posted October 26, 2009 Scott, we are going to build a new one from scratch. Do you mind getting a few more measurements? We need the length of the flat bars and the distance from the rod stop for the atach-o-matic to the backside of the flat stock bar. Thanks again.
