Maeves horse 0 #1 Posted 18 hours ago I e never been able to get the throttle cable bracket to stay secure behind the throttle plate. Ive looked at countless shop manuals and photographs and can’t keep the bracket from popping out from behind the throttle plate. Any advice would be appreciated. Maeves horse 0 #4 Posted 3 hours ago The 855 is from the mid sixties and to my knowledge, it’s the original 8hp k181. It was purchased from the original owner 40 years ago. At one time the throttle cable was a generic after market type. When I rebuilt the tractor years ago I bought an oem cable. I’ve never been able to get it to work properly by attaching the cable to the throttle plate as indicated in the shop manual. Out of desperation, I put the cable in the hole on the throttle arm. This was done mainly because the cable bracket won’t stay put behind the throttle plate. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
