Nice find.  Personally I'd love to find a 416H in a barn, but that's me.  Can't wait to hear it run.  My friend Dave, who got me into Wheel Horses had one for years until the connecting rod broke.

It's a 76 which matches the year of my C160

Got to de- mouse the engine before going inside

:angry-tappingfoot:       Anything I get is tarped on the trailer and a bug bomb set off under it before going into my shop.   Don't want critters coming in.

Fellow approached me at the Steam Pageant. Said he has a B-80 sitting in a barn that needs a home. Hadn't used it in years

Well it's crusty, dusty and poopy. Shot tires but I have spares in the parts dept. Can't believe the seat is nice! :banana-dance:Gonna get that off and hit the tractor with Dawn Power Wash and let it get rained on. Got to de- mouse the engine before going inside. Center spindle on deck needs work but the shell looks solid!

Nice find Mike. You hit the jack pot if the engine is good. You know the drill with these. I am sure it will fire right up. Enjoy the project.

I have this one set aside. I believe it's a 1976.

I bought this from @Retired Wrencher Gary. Overall decent shape but the engine was incorrectly rebuilt.

Not sure if I will have my favorite local small engine shop fix this one, or just swap another one in.

Definitely looking forward to having this machine as a part of my working Herd.

I've definitely considered that but I want the fuel sipping of the little 8 HP.

I was never a fan of the  8hp tractors, until I bought one in a package deal with a bucket. Definitely fuel sipping and gets the job done. Combined with the 8 speed transmission they are impressive.

Yep, I have 6 machines here with Kohler 8’s and they all “sip fuel”. And yes, they sometimes mow at full throttle for an hour or so.

I get two mowings with fuel left over on my one-gallon tank! K181s rock.

c-series don

I’d start hitting that seat with some vinyl conditioner massaging it in with latex gloves on. I did that with the barn find C-101 I bought last year and it worked well.

My first WH was a 12 year old 1974 B-80 I bought 40 years ago it came with a 36RD deck, cut my grass, pulled my cart and moved my old Boston Whaler around for 11 years. I found a nice C-120 and bought it and sold the B for 100.00 less than I paid for it. Over the last 30 years I've bought and sold 30+ WH's, my two favorites are the '74 B80 and the '76 B80:handgestures-thumbupright:. The '76 would run my 36" tiler down hear with no problem. In the last year I've sold all my horses except 3 of my round hood, if I ever decided to buy another WH it will be a B80.

Still got the little baby buggy bumpers on the hood and seat hinges.
