squonk 47,651 #1 Posted 17 hours ago Fellow approached me at the Steam Pageant. Said he has a B-80 sitting in a barn that needs a home. Hadn't used it in years Well it's crusty, dusty and poopy. Shot tires but I have spares in the parts dept. Can't believe the seat is nice! Gonna get that off and hit the tractor with Dawn Power Wash and let it get rained on. Got to de- mouse the engine before going inside. Center spindle on deck needs work but the shell looks solid! 4

Bill D 3,050 #5 Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Nice find. Personally I'd love to find a 416H in a barn, but that's me. Can't wait to hear it run. My friend Dave, who got me into Wheel Horses had one for years until the connecting rod broke. Edited 15 hours ago by Bill D

Nice find Mike. You hit the jack pot if the engine is good. You know the drill with these. I am sure it will fire right up. Enjoy the project.
ebinmaine 80,039 #11 Posted 2 hours ago I have this one set aside. I believe it's a 1976. I bought this from @Retired Wrencher Gary. Overall decent shape but the engine was incorrectly rebuilt. Not sure if I will have my favorite local small engine shop fix this one, or just swap another one in. Definitely looking forward to having this machine as a part of my working Herd.

I was never a fan of the 8hp tractors, until I bought one in a package deal with a bucket. Definitely fuel sipping and gets the job done. Combined with the 8 speed transmission they are impressive. 2

Yep, I have 6 machines here with Kohler 8’s and they all “sip fuel”. And yes, they sometimes mow at full throttle for an hour or so. 1
