Will this deck work with 856?

wondering if this will work with 856. If so, be a lot of work to make it work?

If your 856 has the mid mount attach-a-matic and the front mule drive and all the deck hardware is in the box, It should work.

But... The way the 856 left the WH factory, your choices would be either a 32 or 36 " gear drive 2 blade deck. The deck in the picture looks to be a 42" - even a good running 8HP Kohler is pretty much maxed out with a 36" deck.... my

My 854 seems to pretty good with the RM-425 I put on it

That deck can be mounted to an 865. The way it left the factory there is no way to hook up the drive belts.

 

That will require parts that you need to gather up, and some mods that require some know-how.
