Stopped by a local Antique Engine and Tractor Show today and saw this creation!

Bar: Looks like it fits well. I wonder about shifting gears? Or is it just one gear? But still it looks like somebody put some time into this figuring out how it’s going to work with a hit and miss installed. I guess if you have the time and the parts you can make anything.

It uses a Wheelhorse transmission. Same method of shifting as any other you're already familiar with.

At one point I had a 1933 Fairbanks Morse 3 HP flywheel engine. I read up on how to adapt it to a Wheelhorse.

Never did it because it wasn't practical to us.

Got my first look at a WH with a hit & miss a couple of years ago at the Big Show as it was being driven around the grounds.

Perhaps not too practical but a great demonstration of elegant ingenuity.

I always try to fall in the functional ingenuity bucket, as I certainly have hit the dysfunctional nail  a few times.  As to elegant one can always wish

It seems to fit with the concept and I’d say motto of a single cylinder Wheel Horse. Simplicity.
