Cast Iron Grille

I'm picking up a couple of buckets full of old tractor lights off of marketplace - low and behold, the guy has this cast iron grille for sale.

I'm guessing it's one heavy SOB!  Can anyone tell me what years/models this was available on?

I'm guessing they never go bad - which may explain why he's not been able to sell it.

I suppose I could get it engraved and repurpose it for my headstone.

Gotta remove that to get to the fuel filter.  Don't know the weight. somewhere around unpleasant.. Bad design.  Could loop fuel line in the way outside the compartment but.. no

1969 I think had the front open under the headlights. 1970 and later looked like that.

 1969 open grill, 70,71,72,73 were closed. Weights about 60 lbs, if I remember correctly. Helps keep front end down. Protects fuel tank too.

Anyone with an open grill GT-14 might want it to protect the hard to find plastic gas tank

Once I pick it up and give it a good inspection, I'll probably list it in the classified for sale or trade. $10 seems like too good of a deal to pass up.

Definitely not something you'd want to pay shipping on!
