65-42ms01 mower deck

Recommended Posts

I have a 42 mower deck that has oil seals underneath the mower deck pulley.

I am having a time trying to be get the oil seal replaced after replacing the worn bearing. All the diagrams show a different set of parts for the ms01.

Any idea where to get the new seal

Click on fuzzy picture in this link.

That will bring up a page that includes 2 pages on the spindle updates. Click on them to enlarge. You may have newer spindle assemblies.

If you need dimensions of seals I may be able to find them.

Shaft size is likely 3/4". What outside diameter do you need?

None of the parts drawings show a bottom seal on the 65 series. I had a 75 series dech and it doesn't show the seal either.  Wheel Horse may have decided it wasn't needed.

I change my 75 series deck to metric assenbles some time in the late 80's;
