i ordered a new lever and cable from Lincoln at a-z, and theres two problems that can be fixed. Too long, and lever is not right for my dash. How do i go about trimming it to size, and making it fit on my dash

If the correct part number was used to order it, then it looks like he sent you the wrong lever. I'd ask about a replacement before trying to modify it.

Lincoln doesn't have the older style available anymore.

They can be modified by cutting part way down and bending the top forward. I've not tried it. This is what I am told.

As to the knob, I suppose heat it up? And remove it... then reinstall.

@76c12091520h Brian does have the correct style.

They dont have any lever cables just one "cut to size" version. They fabricate push pull ones but mine is setup for lever.

Brian is out of stock last time i talked to him, and i need this tractor ready by this weeekend. I think im just going to trim it down, and then mount the lever externally. Not going for factory reset horse, just want it to look better. It has a train horn and other custom things, that already make it different.
