Nemo1984 0 #1 Posted June 29 Hello all. I am a new owner of a Bronco 14 with electric PTO clutch. While last mowing the clutch shutoff, and isn't function now. I've got some investigating to do to see for sure if the clutch has failed or if there is some other electrical problem causing the trouble. If it is the clutch I have a few manual clutches available off other wheel horses. Is it a pretty strait forward swap? Just looking for some stories from someone who has done that swap. Thanks. 953 nut 67,376 #2 Posted June 29 Two places to check would be the switch and fuse, either one could be the culprit. Replacing the electric clutch with a manual clutch should not present a problem, the parts from any late '60s or early '70s Wheel Horse will bolt right up. You can find some good information in this thread.
Sparky-(Admin) 25,934 #3 Posted June 29 Obviously the first thing to check is that the 12v (positive AND negative) wires are bringing 12v to the clutch. If yes clutch issue, if no then work back to the electric clutch switch.
