FLtractor 183 #1 Posted 8 hours ago Afternoon, Wont be able to make the show this year, but wondering on average are there’s lots of Wheelhorse tractors in useable working conditions- can bring home and start yard work after turning key…for sale? How much do they usually sell for there?

How much do they usually sell for there? I would guess over 1000+ useable working condition tractor and thousands of parts. the price range for a turn key tractor ranges from around $350 to $9000, many are not for sale, buy if you want it bad enough "everything has a price"

The one I bought last year was not officially for sale. I actually think the guy only sold it to me because my son was so interested in it, and it didn't get used as much as he wanted it to, and sat more than he wanted it to.
JoeM 10,048 #4 Posted 6 hours ago You can get turn key machines, but have to stay away from bargains. Typically they need work. There is no magic there, only if you make it. You can pre-advertise on RS for something and most all the members won't steer you wrong and a deal can be arranged prior to going over to the show.
Easton Rich 1,256 #5 Posted 6 hours ago I'll be going next year! Had another show overlap this year, but I'm excited to meet some of you 's and strike some deals! (P.S. I'll be bringing an empty trailer!) 1
FLtractor 183 #6 Posted 3 hours ago Sounds like it’ll be a great event for me to attend next year!!! I live in Florida.. I know we have the Florida Flywheelers and I’ve heard about a tractor show in… was it Georgia? South Carolina? Any others of note down by me?

I would have guessed a smaller number--maybe 600-700--at least so far this year. Still a lotta tractors. Here’s a shot of the trucks & trailers queued up in eight or nine rows before the 9:00am opening this morning Anyone can come into the show, join up, and offer WH stuff for sale. Individuals with a few items to sell tend not attract “official” attention. The expectation, however, is that larger vendors are paying the “seller fee.” Pure spectator participants are welcome at no charge, but most forum members will strongly encourage supporting the organization (Wheelhorse Collectors Club) the puts on the show by joining and paying the membership fee. The layout is typical county/state fair. Some sellers set up in covered spaces where drive-throughs are discouraged, except for picking up purchases, but many others set up in the “infield” areas that are in sight of the graveled roadways. The axiom of “let the buyer beware” is as valid here as anywhere else. It is up to the buyer to know what they are buying, judge the value, negotiate, and agree. Getting knowledgeable help is a great idea--I often seek input from members. Comments like “gone through” and “completely redone” mean very different things to different folks! Hours meters can (and have been) replaced! There are tractors here that are pristine--probably better than when they left the factory. If they are for sale, it will be for $000’s. There are running 10 & 12 hp 8-speeds from the 70’s through the 2010’s galore in the $400-1,000 range. Loads of 42 & 48” decks--some needing work but many ready to mount and mow--but I’ve seen only one 60” deck. Dozer blades, carts, and soil plows, yes. Graders, tillers, and cultivators, a couple. Parts are interesting. Lot and lots of parts you might need for a restoration, but it can be a challenge to find a specific part. And it seems to fluctuate yearly. Sometime there are lots of something and the next year there are none. It took me two years to find a usable one-model-year-only hood for my 854, for example, this year I’ve seen three so far without trying! There are also hotels semi-locally. I usually jokingly offer my back yard for camping, as I am pretty close to the fair grounds, but with my dogs that's not really a great idea.
