Model 701 snowblower questions

Recommended Posts

compston_family@hotmail.c

Hello all,

Years ago bought a well patinaed 701 along with a well used RMR 3661 mower deck and an unused ST 307 snowblower.

The engine has a terrible knock and needed a replacement crank and new rod- runs great now.

The mower took some work, but runs pretty well now.

My interest is  now focused on the snowblower. It looks as if it might have been mounted on the tractor, but never used. I appear to be missing various bits and pieces, for sure the lift bar and the crank to rotate the chute around, but I'm not sure what else.

Would anyone on the forum here have drawings for these, or have pictures of a blower installed on a 701?

It's spring now, but snow will be here soon enough!

Regards,

Mike Compston

WHX??

I can't help you out but we can work on getting you manuals if you should need. IPL might help you figure out what's missing.

Got any pictures? A 701 is a favorite around here.

Thanks all,

It's in the back of the shop right now, I'll have to dig it out.

Going into town later for some Woodruff keys to get the mower running properly.

I have printed off all the manuals I could find online, and although they are great for showing the "exploded" views, I still need help with how the blower is connected to the tractor.

Once I get it bolted to the frame, I imagine the diagrams will make a lot more sense.

Cheers,

M
