Mike'sHorseBarn 3,601 #1 Posted June 10 I picked this up at a consignment sale with the intention of fixing and possibly putting in an engineless 552 or something like that. Anyone know what this would have been in with the plug in electric start?? I was thinking maybe a tiller or snowblower? My wife was way too happy about this purchase lol 5 2
ri702bill 12,495 #2 Posted June 10 110 volt, plug in - yup, perhaps snowblower, pony motor, or stationary pump.... Here's an interesting note - the Tecumseh Snow King engines with the plug in 110 volt to start actually goes thru a rectifier (the piece with the push button) and takes the 110V AC and converts it to 12V DC.... the starter motor is actually 12 volts! Maybe the Kohler is the same??? Yes, she looks way too happy....!

I figured what the heck and tested a Snow King using a direct 12v hit via jumper cables when I had the wiring exposed. Yep.

My garage door opener is like that, it has a 12 volt battery so the opener can be used if the power goes off. 20 hours ago, Mike'sHorseBarn said: My wife was way too happy about this purchase lol Mike, could you teach my wife that trick?
