C160 Fuel tank leaking

HI All,

 

My c160 fuel tank is leaking. I installed a new petcock and grommet but it still leaking it looks like around the grommet and tank.  how can i fix it?

Well I figured that out. Guess I’ll try welding it?

I was going to question where you got your grommet and valve because I've had problems with the cheap ones. What does the picture above show?

I was wondering if they had sealant for plastic tanks and they do! Big money honey

There are some tanks on E bay for crazy money. What part of NY are you from. I may be able to find one reasonable at the show in 3 weeks. 

 

Never cared for plastic welding.

This is how I repaired my tank with a similar issue, still not leaking basically 2 years later.

Looks like he has a crack in the molded seam of the tank right below the bung hole.. no pun intended 

You can see some light shining through.

Yes looks like an extra hole in the tank.
