refracman 167 #1 Posted October 7, 2009 Was coming back from work and seen it for sale. I slowed down and said to myself "Hes going to want a bundle" but he didn't and so now its got a new home. I have to say the gent took great care of it. Its all original and it still has the original blades on the deck! He bought it in 79 and it came with all the paper work also. All I have done to it is a little degreasing, It just came from the shop as he didnt want to sell it without being up to snuff. About the only thing I feel the need to do is replace the front hood decal but I have never seen one like it nor is it listed anywhere. Hmmm could be a job for Terry. refracman 167 #4 Posted October 7, 2009 I tell ya it didnt get used much! And I did have to pay a bit more than $100 but not much! When I first seem it my first thought was to strip it and use all the tins on a 195 restore , but I was soon talked out of it and will leave it alone. heres a shot of the underside of the deck

tgranthamfd 29 #9 Posted October 7, 2009 Very nice, mind if I ask what the serial number and date code is, I am still tring to posativly ID mine with partial numbers? Better yet does the manuals tell you how to decifer the date code? That is a very nice, very clean tractor, great find. :scratchead:

The VIN will get you in the area...but the bottom 4 digit number on the id tag will be the build date. first number is the year and the rest is the julian date.
