Rick8814 0 #1 Posted 8 hours ago Hey yall! I have a 1989 312-8. The trans axle fluid is milky. Does anyone know where the drain plug is to drain and put new in? Thanks Rick

Some guys lube the gearshift lever, slide the boot up, loosen the dog screw, remove the shifter (it was in Neutral, right?) and fill there. If the boot is in bad shape, it the perfect opportunity to replace it! 4
WHX?? 56,563 #5 Posted 4 hours ago The drain might be plugged with gunk so clean it all off good before trying to take it out. Make sure the allen gets a good bite so you don't strip it out. It might come out hard. 2
Rick8814 0 #6 Posted 4 hours ago Ty all very much. Next question on this 312-8. Im having a heck of time reconnecting the choke linkage. I have the kohler manual for this engine, but it doesn't show a very good picture of the choke linkage to the little bracket attached on the other side is the choke cable. Thank you in advance Rick

ineedanother 2,286 #10 Posted 1 hour ago Just a word to help you along...you're in the transmission section asking about the choke linkage. You will likely have more success here, lots of folks willing to help, if you separate issues and look for solutions where you're most likely to get the most appropriate attention and responses.
